The Silver Tongued Heroine

Last night, me, Mon and Bert invited ourselves to watch The Golden Compass at SM Megamall. I was excited to watch this movie because of its well told and likable story, though many have said that this movie is actually attacking some Catholic Themes and has stirred numerous controversies among religious groups. The movie is a tamed version, though i haven’t read the book, i must agree on this one, the movie dwells more on the “free will and spirituality” issues than about religion, so there no harm was done, it’s just a movie … and i’m not easily influenced by a mere movie. Not just yet.. haha! read more »»

Puerto Galera Memoirs

I bumped into this news clip from GMA news (click here for source) where they featured Puerto Galera and an interview with this sexy star who was there that time. You can view the video below, just disregard the witch voiced anchor:

My take.. artista pala yun.. hahaha.. ‘coz i was there when they were taking a video of her… actually nasa tabing table lang kami… i was looking at her because may dating nga… artista pala.. di ko man lang namalayan. :glee: She’s hot though. :naughty:

the iPhone overhype

I wasn’t considering getting an iPhone since last Thursday. Since i’m not really into iPods, i kept ignoring the iPhone besides i still have my SE W850i Walkman Phone. Then i saw this video showing off how the iPhone works… i fell inlove with the gadget at that very moment, became so interested i thought of getting one before the year ends, consider it as a Christmas gift to myself. haha! read more »»

What was i doing?!?

Since i haven’t got any time to visit the movie house the past few weeks. I resorted to torrent downloads to satisfy my .. ughh.. guilt pleasure. Watching movies, being lazy.. killing time!

First stop. RATATULI. Haha. I just love calling the title of the movie as is. It should be pronounced as rat-a-too-ee at hindi RATATULI. I missed this in the movie house so when the download was available, i wasted no time to get it. If you love cooking, this is a must watch movie. This inspires me more to dream big… and live a greater life.

more blood.. more dead heroes and more violence

Medyo bumabagal ang momentum ng Heroes ngayong Season 2. They are concentrating on the Claire love angle and it’s not good. For me it’s not good. Sukang suka na ako sa mga pa-cute na mga istorya na yan.. haha. Sana dagdagan nila ng action.. more blood.. more dead heroes and more violence… ganun dapat! har har

Anyway.. panalo ung plot ngayon sa Bennets House. Punung-puno ng distrust.. lies and plasticity. The typical setup they deserve. No Hiro subplot? Huwatt? are they freakin’ effin’ me? Pero ok lang.. gusto ko kasi ung powers ng bagong hero eh. Ambilis maka-adapt ng palabas sa TV, ala Matrix.. instant download .. gayang gaya nya.. even better. Sana makapanood sya ng porn.. wahaha.

The Deathly Hallows

harry7.jpgAt long last… i finished the last book of JK Rowlings Harry Potter Series. Methinks that this is the best installment.. the deaths, the dark secrets, and Snapes revelation. Who would even think that Snape was really Dumbledore’s and that he was there all the time to protect Potter… who would? tell me? haha.. I guess nobody expected that this arrogant asshole had a heart… i thought he was evil.

Then Dobby.. i applaud his loyalty to Harry Potter… he was there till death… i guess that’s how Rowling interpreted his character.. loyal, protective and loving. He was all the way until the end… wow.. i never thought this house elf could really touch my heart. Kudos to Rowling.

STORY TELLING A LIE
The lies of Albus Dumbledore was quite tedious. I didn’t care much of it though… Rowling tried to concentrate on the evil side of Dumbee but that’s just so jurrasic.. so useless.. haha.. ako na lang sana nagsulat at inilagay ko dun that Dumbledore is a direct descendant of Gryffindor and James Potter is his son.. making Harry Potter his grandson.. hence his fondness to Potter. That way everything stops there.

Puro Chinese!

Haha! No offense meant to my Chinese friends and other “naligaw” na readers who are of Chinese descent. Last Saturday, we went for a Binondo tour… with Dario, Lea and Michelle.. nag trip lang.. we planned this after watching Harry Potter and yeah.. kahit abrupt we still pushed through with the tour.

ivan.jpgMeet “Ivan”… our tourist guide for the day. He really does know the history of Manila including the Chinese occupation hundreds of years back… he was bubbly and so enthusiastic about the tour… he is in fact the tourist guide, well… he should be.. he actually prefers being called as “street walker” rather than a mere tourist guide only.

We were a bit late.. as we had a meeting before our speedy lunch at the Salcedo “market.” Then we rushed to Binondo for the Tour… the meeting place was in Binondo Church.. ‘twas my first time in Binondo.. more so Binondo Church… and yeah.. the whole Binondo Area… pag ako naiwan sa Tour.. I would look like a stupid ass looking my way out of this area.

Ysabella’s Chicken and Harry Potter

Harry Potter and the Order of the PhoenixHad another First Day High with Harry Potter in the movie house last July 11, 2007 with Michelle and Dario. We are in fact thrilled to watch the movie, let’s say.. we are greatly into movie-watching lately and we fancy watching movies on its first day of screening.. the next day.. we’d chat about it in the office the whole day… sarcastically… seducing other officemates to watch it also.. haha

INASAL
Anyway.. since we are all living near Robinsons Pioneer.. we opted to watch it there. Yeah..we had dinner first…. Blah! Blah! Blah! Went to INASAL and tasted the phenomenal Ysabella’s Chicken Inasal… methinks that the chicken really tastes superior… it’s not that exceptional actually… there is something really different.. something familiar, something I’ve tasted before… but yes.. I like the recipe.. quite appetizing. I didn’t enjoy the dinner as we had to rush it to get in time for the movie. Buset! :bop:

When cyber geeks attack…

bruce_willis.jpgMcClane is back.. for good. Bruce Willis is still the action star to beat.. move over Vin Diesel as the rightful king has returned. Die Hard 4.0 is a realism of thought that the cyber world is a sleeping bomb… waiting for ignition… waiting for someone to pull the trigger.. and KAPUT! The world is dead.

Personally.. i am not a big fan of Bruce Willis… i can’t even remember some notable action movies he did in the past… except for 6th Sense.. which is not even an action movie… It appears that this film is the perfect medium for this season… i may forget Transformers… (labas dyan si Megan Fox!) but Die Hard 4.0? Ha! may last a lifetime…. why? cyber geek din ata ako… wahaha!

Bruce’s real signature is his badboy image.. who appears to be cursing a lot… and it works for him.. he may be too old for the role… but shit… who’s better than Bruce Willis? playing the grumpy old police man… kicks Maggie Q’s asian ass… blood all over and those sarcastic remarks… siya lang.. alangan namang si Rowan Atkinson… :harhar: read more »»
