After changing my account password, i saw some mails the hacker was trying to send via my GMAIL account, good thing Google rejected all of them.  Then i lived happily ever after. the end.

On monday, it will be Valentine’s day. I asked you out for lunch because i know there is something in you that i would like to get to know more. I still don’t know why i asked you out but one thing i am sure of, let’s hit the road, drive where it leads us, follow the wind until it reaches us nowhere.

been playing a fool for years and found nothing serious at relationships, only playmates for the night. there are days that i find real people and take gamble only to find out that i’m just a chunk of meat, a dispensable shit. then i learned to play the game. scratch mine and i’ll scratch yours. the idea was simple and for years i enjoyed it.

now people keep on asking me when to get married. at my age i should be, they say. who are they again? with so many plans and thoughts of conquering life, staying single is the best option. no, i ain’t planning to stay single until the end of time. if you have the money, the career and the good looks, why not enjoy singlehood while it lasts. fair point right?

do i get tired? of which i mean being single. who doesn’t? i will in the near future. say a few years from now. i know people who eventually got tired of being single and settled down. a good friend married at a young age, after six pathetic years of trying to build a home, they called the marriage off. now both of them can’t wed again. carrying out an annulment will cost you an arm and leg, especially for people who can’t afford it.

80% of the people around me have broken families. most of them now are single parents. 15% are trying to make the cut and then the remaining 5% are happy. i too came from a broken family and it ain’t easy. like i have a choice. like i have a say on what my parents would decide on.

it is but right for the girl that i want to spend the rest of my life with gets a church wedding. would i want a church wedding? i see myself getting married, yes. in reality would i want a church wedding, considering all the monetary factors that lie behind it. now that’s another topic i’d like to write about some time.

currently, i say no to marriage. i’m not closing my doors though. if at the right time with the right person, yes i might change my beliefs and consider the typical.

i realized that you can’t win them all. and you don’t die.

i realized that some people are too afraid to get out from their comfort zone even if it costs them their job and integrity. It is only the first month of the year, you still have 11 months to give it a try.

and yeah, i realized that relationships come and go. if you ain’t compatible with that person, move and on to the next.

that no matter how hard you try and prove your worth you can’t make the complicated less simple. if the person is not for you even if the universe thinks otherwise, it is not for you. get over it. move and on to the next.

Rumors of Facebook shutting down leaves users panicking, looking for other social networking options

Rumors of an impending Facebook shutdown had the site’s millions of users in a panic Saturday as they wondered who would take their number one procrastination tool away.

The Internet rumor was sparked by a report from the “Weekly World News,” a website which also includes a story insisting “Alien spaceships to attack Earth in 2011″ and another titled “Mike Tyson Pigeon Fetish.”

According to their Facebook “story,” the super popular social media website would be shut down in March because Mark Zuckerberg was getting too stressed out.

“Facebook has gotten out of control and the stress of managing this company has ruined my life,” the newspaper quoted Zuckerberg as saying at an alleged press conference in California on Saturday.

The questionable story apparently sent Facebook users into a panic. The phrase “is facebook shutting down” was the 14th most searched for on Google Saturday and the 10th most as of Sunday morning.

On Facebook itself, groups like “Against shutting down Facebook on 15th of March” popped up with the slogan “No Facebook, No Party”. On Twitter, users fretted about what would happen to their pictures – not to mention social lives.

“If Facebook shutdown Im not going to remember nobody birthday (sic),” one Twitter user wrote.

Others started making alternate plans, saying they would move their information to MySpace, Twitter or a new service, like the one Google is rumored to be working on.

On Sunday night, Facebook aimed to put a rest to the rumors and tweeted, “We didn’t get the memo about shutting down, so we’ll keep working away. We aren’t going anywhere; we’re just getting started.”

But the rapidly spreading rumor had many others ridiculing people’s addiction to the social networking site that is used for everything from posting pictures, party invites and showing off how many friends that people have (even if they’re just on the ‘Book).

“The number of Facebook users believing it will shutdown proves how badly it needs to be shutdown,” Twitter user Ramezm quipped.

No matter the parody report, Facebook is set to most likely release its public finances to possibly become a public company later this year. A few weeks ago, a team at Goldman Sachs valued the Harvard tech-startup at around $50 billion.

If it as valued for that at an IPO offering, it would be the largest start-up tech offering in history.
